Default Wrxchase's 2006 wrx

Current update: rear diff is having issues. needs to be replaced.

History: This is my 2006 sgm wrx limited with a 4eat. i started with a basic stage two setup, i then moved on to brakes and suspension. i did a mild stage 3 build with a vf34. then i went to an 18g It put down 255whp and 303wtq with a TD-05 18G. i was able to run a best time of 12.9 seconds flat in the 1/4mile this was by far the most fun with the car. i then moved on and had a fully built motor and heads combo done by a shop in the area. i ran that in the car for 2k before i noticed alot of issues. come to findout later that almost nothing that i paid for labor and parts were done/correct. so i decided to go back to mainly OEM parts to have a reliable but semi quick setup. Car has now been tuned by Paul at FW Motorsports, car put out 240whp and 340wtq.

Wow that thing is mean! Not a huge fan of the wheels but wow. It's a beast. And it's an automatic. Any reason for that? Just curious.

well i found out the weak point in a subaru motor is the headgasket and when placed in a race setting the headgaskets stock and aftermarket cant hold. (no one knows why) were not sure what went in the current motor yet till i get it back from gst and tear it apart(we think from the sounds its the piston ring) if thats the case were not sure why it failed. i have 76k on the motor. all the tunes on the car are from gst and have had no issues with the tuning that we suspect. i do think my racing of the car hard and for long times is the source of the problems. for info i was able to blow the stock headgasket on my wrx when it was stock at 25k durring a track day.
